American military equipment (and their cars) remind me of the output from the real Top Gear’s three presenters - as they always labelled themselves. Ambitious but useless. It looks and sounds really good but after half a mile falls to bits like Buster Keaton’s car. Very entertaining. Very useless. When two lads with a pet camel and an RPG made 30 years before they were born can see off an entire platoon, with ‘the latest and greatest’ equipment, well, you’re just not doing it right!! This is not an opinion, it’s just counting.

The T-28 could have performed a lot better with a bigger engine with fuel injection and a much stronger automatic transmission 😎

In the Asian Exclusive Video Game Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match, aviable for PS and Nintendo Switch (and unofficially PC through Emulation), I almost ALWAYS use the T28 for its impressive stats within the Game. But upgrading it makes it Ridiculously OP: everyone who watched Girls und Panzer knows that the Anime doesn't coexist with the laws of Physics, especially Drifting around Tanks as if they're some sort if goddamn Nescars. But the Game GUP DTM puts some more Unrealism on top of it - for example you can "Dash" with your tanks (on the Switch for example while you're not moving, Hold B then hold your Left stick either for- or backward, then let go of B while still holding your Stick, allowing your Tank to Burst full speed) Or even Drift with the Tanks (while Driving, hold the Stick either left or right and just Tap the B button to drift). If you unlock a Crew Member Card capable of Driving-improvement with 2 or 3 Stars (you get them by Completing Hard or Extreme Difficulty Extra Mission in the Game) - you're able to extend the Speed of your Tanks. I made the Impossible possible and let Realism look like a Bitch: I took the Character Rosehip as 3-Star Crew card into my Tank which allows me not just to get better speed through Dashing, But because it gets me enough momentum of speed I am able to use immediately the Ability to Drift the Tank, up to over 180° Turning radius. And I use that in the most fucked up way in Multiplayer - some times I'll bait Enemy Players to me, let them think I would take way too long to turn around when they approach me from side or even backwards, especially if I'm in an Alleyway or on a Bridge. Once they're close, I'll activate (if I have it loaded - and yes, it's exclusive to the Game) "Panzer High" a Invincibility Skill that last for 5 Seconds, Dash either for-or Backwards and very quickly tap the B button to Perform an Instant 180° Drift, pressing Y-Button to autolock on the enemy, then while the Cannon points at the target and is still in the Process of drifting, I shoot him, what in this Game, especially while you drifting, what causes the Bullet to make more Damage, and you play one of the strongest Tanks - almost every time Insta-kill the Enemy. Of course I have some other 3-Star Crew Cards with Damage Improvement installed to ensure that the Enemy really dies in an instant. Since during its peak play time (mostly Saturday between 2pm and 5pm CET), I am mostly hated from many Japanese Players* once me and my Kardashian-Fatass-T28 appears on the Room List before MP match. *I coincidentally figured that out on a Japanese Livestreamed who makes almost every Saturday GUP DTM DX Livestreams, where I found myself in his streams occasionally, some times with in his team or as enemy. And every time I appeared, mostly with the T28, I just saw Japanese Live hat Commends containing "T28" as the only thing I could read, so I Translated them and found out how exhausting for them is to probably fight me again in the upcoming match - it's quite funny, being a Pain in the Ass to some Asian Players. Usually in the majority of Videogames, it's the other way around. 😂😂😂

It would've been really awesome if you could've found the reason they used a friggin' 500 horsepower engine for an almost 100 ton AFV. Like, they put a fucking VEE-EIGHT in it! It's not like there weren't a lot of high-performance V-12s being made, or, barring that, using two V8s.

Would have been an utter failure. Just look at the exposed fuel tanks on the roof. Would have been disabled by a HE shell or deep mud.

In 1995, the tank museum at Fort Knox had this tank labeled the T95. I guess they didn't get the memo.

I would agree...the M18 was certainly one step in the general direction of the MBT. Where mobility and firepower were weighted more heavily on the triangle than protection. Of course as MBT matured, armor was improved through technology, engines got better, and guns too. But today, we will never again see a heavy tank. Unless Ukraine lessons say more weight on protection Vs drones must be a thing. Armor currently is definitely in a flux state in the face of a yet another new battlefield.
